Frequently Asked Questions About Arizona LLC & Corporate Formation
How do I form an LLC in Arizona?
You file Articles of Organization with the Arizona Corporation Commission, appoint a statutory agent, and — in most counties — publish a notice of formation. We prepare and file the complete package for you.
Does an Arizona LLC need an operating agreement?
Arizona doesn’t legally require one, but an operating agreement is strongly recommended — it sets out ownership, management, and what happens if a member leaves, and banks often ask for it. We can prepare one tailored to your company’s structure.
Do Arizona LLCs file annual reports?
No — Arizona LLCs are not required to file annual reports with the Corporation Commission, which keeps ongoing paperwork minimal. Arizona corporations, on the other hand, do file annual reports.
What is Arizona’s LLC publication requirement?
Most Arizona counties require new LLCs to publish a notice of formation in an approved newspaper within 60 days of approval. LLCs with a statutory agent address in Maricopa or Pima County are currently exempt because the Commission publishes online instead.
Document Prep Arizona is an Arizona Certified Legal Document Preparer (AZCLDP). We prepare legal documents at your direction — we do not provide legal advice or court representation.
We help with filing and recording of your documents as applicable. Because we prepare your documents, we do not notarize them ourselves – we are happy to connect you with a mobile notary or a no-cost bank notary for that step.
